October, November, and December Schedule of Assignments
October 26
Write notes from at least three sites on information that interests you.

November 2
(No school.)

November 10
Write notes from at least three sites on information that interests you.

November 18
Review notes and decide on a topic that is interesting to you. Then, continue your research until you have eight notes on your topic.
November 29
Identify the topic about which you will write.  Highlight all the relevant notes in your notebooks.  You may select more than the eight notes that must appear in the final project.  After you choose the relevant notes, you will identify the most interesting.  If you do not have enough information, you will continue your research.  Next, transcribe your eight notes onto index cards.

December 6
Review the notes on the card and put them in chronological order or in some other logical order (location, for example)  for your project.  Ask another student to check content to make sure your information will make sense to someone unfamiliar with your project.  Answer any questions that arise.  Next, decide on a format for your project and begin planning the design by sketching on scrap paper.
December 13 and 20, January 4
Create your project by illustrating the information you have culled from your research.  Check spelling, grammar, and punctuation before you begin.  Remember to save space at the end of your project to identify your sources.  Have fun!
